2014 Irish Targets: Offense

In just over a month, Notre Dame's 2013 recruiting class will sign their respective letters of intent with the program. While the Irish are looking to finish strong, they've also been working hard on the next class. We look at five targets on offense already holding Irish offers.

As we start a new year, IrishEyes.com takes a look ahead to the 2014 recruiting class. Here are five names to following in the early stages of the 2014 class who already hold offers from the Irish.

Ross Pierschbacher

Offensive Guard

Cedar Falls, IA

6-foot-5, 270-pounds

Irish Eyes watched Pierschbacher this past summer at a Nike Camp in Illinois and came away impressed with his early footwork.  With a solid frame that can add more weight, Pierschbacker has the skills to play at a high level and is open to leaving his home state.

Brandon Dawkins

Westlake Village, CA

6-foot-4, 215-pounds

Dawkins made a campus visit for the Stanford game and came away impressed with the offense and stated he could see himself at the controls.  With a log jam building up at the quarterback position, Dawkins may be hard to sway away from the West Coast and UCLA looks to be a team Notre Dame will have to battle early.

Elijah Hood

Running Back

Scout.com early Four Star Prospect

Charlotte, NC

6-foot-1, 215-pounds

Hood will not have to go far to learn more about the Irish program as current Irish offensive lineman Mark Harrel will have no problem telling the Charlotte Catholic standout all about campus life and the successful football program.

Tyler Luatua

Tight End

Scout.com early Four Star Prospect

La Mirada, CA

6-foot-3, 215-pounds

Luatua is the hottest tight end in the country with offers from the majority of top national programs including Notre Dame.  Don't expect Luatua having problems leaving the West Coast but with a younger brother (Isaac Luatua) a freshman offensive lineman at Alabama, some expect to Luatua to follow.

Michiah Quick

Wide Receiver

Scout.com early Five Star Prospect

Fresno, CA

5-foot-11, 170-pounds

Notre Dame pulling guys out of Fresno, California has not been good under Brian Kelly so you can raise the red flags early here.  The Irish alreayd have the big physical receiver they want in the 2014 class in Justin Brent.  However, the need is still there for a guy with great speed.  Would be very surprised if the Irish have success here.
