2015 RB has Notre Dame in top group
One of the most sought-after running backs in the 2015 class, Jacques Patrick of Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek, received his 25th offer yesterday when Notre Dame extended an offer. "I was pretty surprised," Patrick said. "That was my first time talking with them. I didn't know it was going to be an offer." Patrick says the Irish are a team that are surely in contention for his services. "Florida is my leader, and Florida State is a very close second," he said. "I don't have a top five yet, but Notre Dame is in my top group. They just went to the national championship, and they have really good coaches." Even though yesterday was Patrick's first time connecting with Notre Dame, a visit is already in the works. "When I visit Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State in June, I'll hit Notre Dame, too. It's around June 15," he said. This summer, Patrick also plans to visit Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Florida, Florida State, and Miami. After he gets around to seeing some of the top schools on his long list, he plans to generate a top five after the summer months. Last season, Patrick rushed for 2,031 yards and 30 touchdowns. He finished his freshman season with over 1,200 yards on just 157 carries and also had eight touchdowns.
