Blacknall Lands Irish Offer

Manalapan High (Englishtown, N.J.) receiver Saeed Blacknall added his 21st offer from Notre Dame extended one Tuesday, and he shared his thoughts on it with

Since losing a pair of receivers this spring to transfer, Notre Dame has extended a few offers to members of the 2014 class.

Two receivers -- New Jersey's Saeed Blacknall and Louisiana's Cameron Sims -- both said they received offers from the Irish on Tuesday, and for Blacknall, it was his 21st offer.

"I'm excited about the offer," Blacknall said. "Now, the next step is to arrange visits to see it and to get to know the program and the coaches."

Notre Dame lost receivers Justin Ferguson and Davonte Neal in the spring, and recently offered La Marada (Calif.) High receiver Dallis Todd as well.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Blacknall, who is the No. 25 receiver in the class, said already made vists to Georgia Tech, Clemson and LSU this spring.

He wants to make a visit to Notre Dame, but he is not sure of the timing of it.

Also, he said he has not spent a lot of time speaking with the coaching staff, but he is eager to learn more about the Irish.

"I just know it's a great academics school," Blacknall said. "I know it's a very religious, private-type of school."

As a senior, Blacknall caught 40 passes for 743 yards and 11 touchdowns. Top Stories
