Irish in top 5 for NC RB
Running back Derrell Scott of Havelock (N.C.) High is one of the elite running backs to claim a Notre Dame offer. "Notre Dame is a very good football school and they have a lot of tradition, Scott said. "They just got to the national championship, and I know they win a lot." Scott says a few schools are standing out with him. "I like South Carolina, Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Clemson right now," he said. "I like Oregon too, but they have not offered yet. I would say South Carolina, N.C. State, Florida State, and Tennessee are recruiting me the hardest. I'm also talking some with Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon."
