Elam expands list of favorites
Defensive tackle Matthew Elam of Elizabethtown (Ky.) John Hardin was offered by Notre Dame on Tuesday, and he was very exited to hear from the Irish. "It's a big time offer," Elam said. "They are a great school with great tradition. They play a 3-4 defense, and I will fit perfectly in that. They are recruiting me to play nose tackle." Elam recently named a top four of (alphabetically) Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville and Ohio State. Now, he's expanded that list. "I have a top five now," Elam said. "Notre Dame is in it. I will announce at the Army All-American Bowl." Elam has taken recent trips to Louisville and Kentucky but does not have anything else planned yet for this summer. Elam is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 29 defensive tackle in 2014.
