Quick-Hitter: Settle picks up Notre Dame

Defensive tackle Tim Settle of Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson is quickly rising to the scene as a sophomore, and he talks about his most recent from from Notre Dame and what else he has planned this summer.

Defensive tackle Tim Settle of Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson is garnering national attention as a sophomore. He has already picked up offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State and UCLA. His most recent offer comes from Notre Dame.

"I know Notre Dame just got to the national championship," Settle said. "Their academics are awesome as well. [Notre Dame assistant] Coach Booker said they are recruiting me as a nose guard, which is different from most schools that want me as a defensive tackle. That's mainly what I know about Notre Dame right now."

The 6-foot-3, 304-pound tackle says he doesn't have any favorites right now, and he doesn't plan on making a decision any time soon. Other more recent offers include Iowa, Miami and UCLA.

"I will commit at one of the All-American games in January of my senior year," Settle said. "I am not committing before that."

Settle camped at Virginia last week. He will visit North Carolina on Tuesday and has tentative plans to camp Alabama later this summer.

"I want a place where I think I fit in well and where I'm comfortable on campus," Settle said. "I want good chemistry with my future teammates and coaches."
