Mbanasor plans to check out Notre Dame
Four-star cornerback P.J. Mbanasor of Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson is one of 15 Notre Dame offers out in the Lone Star State. "I potentially am going to try to get up there this summer," Mbanasor said. "I know a lot of Texas guys are getting up there and liking it, so it's definitely a place I want to check out. It looks great on paper, so I want to see it in person." Mbanasor, a former TCU commit, has visited Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU for junior days this spring. "No favorites," Mbanasor said. "I do want to speed up the process, though. You know, I don't want it to drag out. I'm going to try to see as many schools as I can this spring and summer, narrow it down, and then figure it out." Mbanasor said Notre Dame's a viable option due to its "productivity." "They produce," Mbansor said. "I look for schools with high productivity on the field, how they win and how they produce players at the next level. I want to go somewhere with the best opportunity to win." "I know they are a religious school that offers strong academic opportunities," Mbansor said. "That's important to me as well." The 6-foot-2, 182-pound corner attributes his success on the field to his size and technique. "I'm fluid-like, I keep my hips in good position to make plays, and I'm able to out-physcial wide receivers with my size," Mbansor said. "I'm competitive, so I'm always looking to improve. I want to increase the number of interceptions I have this year. That's a mindset." Mbanasor is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 22 cornerback in the class of 2015.
