Big Board: Offensive Line

With Notre Dame already having secured two commitments on the offensive line in 2015 in Jerry Tillery and Tristen Hoge, Notre Dame is looking to add one more at the position. Inside is a breakdown of the top prospects on the board.

Offensive Line (3)

Commits: Four-star offensive guard Tristen Hoge, four-star tackle Jerry Tillery

Targets (alphabetically):

Four-star tackle Matthew Burrell - Burrell, who's primarily being recruited by Scott Booker for Notre Dame, is one of the most sought-after linemen in the nation. This spring, he has visited Maryland (twice), Penn State, Virginia (twice) and Virginia Tech. His dad told a couple of weeks ago he plans to visit Notre Dame sometime this spring, though nothing has been planned yet. He does not plan on deciding until Signing Day.

Three-star guard Zach Robertson - In February, Robertson named a top three of Notre Dame, UCLA and USC. He plans on taking an official visit to Notre Dame this fall. He recently told that Arkansas and UCLA are the two schools recruiting him hardest.

Four-star tackle Reno Rosene - Rosene has been high on Notre Dame since being offered last year as a sophomore. He has visited once before and has talked about making plans to visit again this summer. The staff has likely pumped the breaks some on his recruitment, as guys like Burrell, Robertson and Ruhland are higher on the board as priorities.

Three-star guard Trevor Ruhland - Ruhland was offered two weekends ago during a trip to campus. The Irish are high on the Cary, Illinois native's list, and a commitment within the next couple of months would not be surprising. Ruhland will likely be back for camp this June and a commitment could happen then if it hasn't already occured.

Ruhland visited Minnesota this past weekend and told an interview post-Gophers visit:

"If I want to decide soon is another tough decision I have (to make). My mom and my dad continue to say let's make sure all the pieces are together before we decide. I think we are getting close, but are not ready just yet."

"I don't really have a order of the factors, but location to home, coaching staff, education, what I feel comfortable with, program tradition among a several others," said Ruhland. "We are trying to narrow down the schools, but haven't done that yet."

Other notable offers: Chuma Edoga, Jake Fruhmorgen (Clemson commit), Zach Okun (Oregon commit)

Thoughts: Notre Dame only needs to add one more offensive lineman in this class. Indianapolis three-star tackles Matt McCann and Adam Solomon, as well as South Bend native and Irish legacy Mirko Jurkovic and Ohio native Hunter Littlejohn are still on Notre Dame's radar as potential offers.

However, I don't see those prospects listed above reeling in offers as I believe Ruhland will jump on board as offensive line commit No. 3 in the coming months. Top Stories
