"I visited a lot and really liked Notre Dame last year," Weber said. "The last time I was there I was led to believe that I was going to receive an offer from the offensive coordinator, but obviously that didn't happen. From then on, I didn't really talk to Notre Dame."
Recently though, Weber and the Irish have started to rekindle their relationship.
"I spoke with Coach (Tony) Alford a couple days ago, and we had a good talk," Weber said. "He said it was all a misunderstanding and he wants to continue building our relationship. He said if we continue to stay in a good position with each other, and I visit campus, talk of an offer could happen."
"Notre Dame is known for being a winning program and being a great school," Weber said. "You can get a great degree from there and really be set."
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound running back plans to take official visits and announce his final decision at the Army Bowl next year.
Weber is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 15 running back in the class of 2015.
