"Coach Scott (Booker) came by school the first time and said that he loved me film," Taylor said. "The second time he came by, he offered me later that night on the phone."
"He said he likes how I'm versatile, fast, and how I have good instincts."
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound corner wasted no time setting up a visit to Notre Dame.
"I'm visiting with my offensive line coach and a couple of teammates on June 25," Taylor said. "My offensive line coach has always liked Notre Dame, and he was really excited when I got offered. Notre Dame produces some of the best offensive linemen, so that's why he likes them."
"I liked how Notre Dame always plays a tough schedule," Taylor said. " I'm used to that in high school. They have good academics and just a lot of energy always around their football program. I remember watching them in the 8th grade in the national championship and pulling for them."
With already 20 offers, Taylor is in no rush to make a decision.
"It's really exploded," Taylor said. "It can only get worse from here, as far as the process goes and how hectic things get. That's why I'm not going to release any favorites until next summer."
"I'm looking loyalty," Taylor said. "And, when I get there, can I see myself living there for the next three or four years? I also plan to major in sports medicine."
