FSU commit planning Notre Dame official

Florida State four-star safety commit Calvin Brewton of Miami (Fla.) Central discusses the likelihood of Notre Dame receiving an official visit from him this season.

Florida State commit Calvin Brewton likes what Notre Dame recruiting coordinator Tony Alford is using as a recruiting pitch.

"Coach Alford thinks that I would really like Notre Dame," Brewton said. "As a Florida boy, he thinks that I would shocked to see what Notre Dame is and that it would be like something I've never seen."

"Not everyone can go to Notre Dame because of their academics, but Coach Alford thinks that I would do well there and be a great fit in their program."

"He told me that Notre Dame is a private school and that their rules are strict," Brewton said. "But, I would like that."

The four-star safety of Miami (Fla.) Central explains why he believes Notre Dame is going to get an official visit from him this season.

"Notre Dame has been a school that I've wanted to visit even before I committed for Florida State," Brewton said. "Notre Dame is on TV every week. No matter who they play they are on TV. It doesn't get any better than that."

Besides Notre Dame, Brewton plans to take officials to Florida State, Louisville and possibly Georgia.

"I'm going to try to plan that Notre Dame trip soon based on my football schedule," Brewton said. "Maybe as early as October. I really would like to get up there and see it."

Brewton is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 10 safety in the class of 2015.
