Bilal Pledges ND
Four-star linebacker Asmar Bilal of Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis committed to Notre Dame on Thursday morning. "Well, (there was) the issue with the linebacker from Florida (Te'Von Coney) possibly committing soon, and I was done waiting it out," Bilal told Irish Eyes over text message. "I had all the info I wanted. So, I just made the decision that fit me best. I couldn't let this opportunity slip by." Bilal, who projects as a weak-side linebacker for the Irish, chose Notre Dame over finalist Michigan. Bilal originally planned on making his decision before the start of his senior year, but decided to push the date back so he could take official visits to both schools. However, Bilal opted to commit to the Irish without having taken visits to any programs yet this fall. His most recent visit to Notre Dame was in June. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound athlete is Notre Dame's 20th commitment in the 2015 class and third from the state of Indiana, joining linebacker Josh Barajas and defensive lineman Brandon Tiassum. Stay tuned for more from Bilal, the No. 8 ranked linebacker in the class of 2015.
