Big Board: WR and RB

With less than two months until signing day, Irish Eyes breaks down where Notre Dame stands with its top remaining offensive targets left on the board.

Total commitments: 21 (1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 3 OL, 4 DL, 4 DB, 4 LB, 1 K)
Likely to still add: 3-4
Positions of need: DB, DE, RB, WR

Wide receiver

Four-star Cordell Broadus - Broadus is scheduled to take an official visit to Notre Dame the weekend of Dec. 12. However, in a recent interview, he listed as having the most interest in (other than local schools USC and UCLA) included Arizona State, Oregon State, TCU and West Virginia.

Three-star Lawrence Cager - Cager plans to announce his decision on Jan. 3, and he'll visit Notre Dame on an official Dec. 12. He has already taken visits to Ohio State and Wake Forest and he'll see Virginia Tech this weekend. The Tide, Buckeyes and Irish have the strongest shot of landing him right now.

Four-star Equanimeous St. Brown - Local schools UCLA and USC appear to have pumped the breaks somewhat on St. Brown. Going forward, this is shaping up to be a Notre Dame vs. Utah battle. Utah is pulling out all of the stops to land St. Brown, including having already offered both of his younger brothers. Members of the Notre Dame staff are expected to visit him this week. A January or February decision seems most likely.

*Notre Dame reached to Michigan commit Brian Cole yesterday, though for now it appears Cole is sticking with the Wolverines.

Running back

Four-star Sotonye Jamabo - Once thought to have his decision made by the early fall, Jamabo does not have a set timeline. Schools still in contention include Baylor, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and UCLA. Time is not in Notre Dame's favor here, and that was made obvious when Notre Dame offered 2015 Cass Tech running back Mike Weber last week. Notre Dame's end to the regular season paid them no favors here.

Four-star Ronald Jones - An Oklahoma State commit, Jones is scheduled to take his official visit to Notre Dame for banquet weekend. Notre Dame likes its chances with Jones right now, so this is a development certainly worth keeping a close eye on. USC and Baylor are also in the mix.

Four-star Mike Weber - Weber picked up a Notre Dame offer last week, and he'll be on hand for Notre Dame's banquet on Dec. 12 for an official visit. Location figures to play a role for this Detroit native and former Michigan commit, and Notre Dame's biggest competition could be Michigan State. Alabama is a recent offer as well.

Four-star Dexter Williams - Williams, a Miami commit, will visit Notre Dame the weekend of Dec. 12 on an official visit. How that visit goes for Williams will be the tipping point on if he stays committed to the Hurricanes.

Four-star Nicholas Brossette - An LSU commit, Brossette took his official visit to Notre Dame for the North Carolina game in early October. It's going to be tough to sway from the Tigers, but Notre Dame remains squarely in the mix due to Brossette's long-standing relationship with Tony Alford.

Four-star Cameron Scarlett - Scarlett visited Notre Dame on an official for the Michigan game, and Notre Dame shot up his board. However, it's difficult to see him landing anywhere but Stanford at this point.

Three-star Jordan Cronkrite - A former Miami commit, Cronkrite says he will visit Notre Dame on Dec. 16 on an official visit. Louisville, West Virginia and Miami remain in the mix.

Three-star Kendall Bussey - A soft verbal to Nebraska, Notre Dame may turn up the heat on Bussey in January depending on where it stands with other prospects higher on the board.
