Commit & Target Recap

A full rundown of every Notre Dame commitment from last weekend, plus a few top targets, including Javon McKinley, Marquez Calloway and Daelin Hayes.

The Commits

Ian Book 
Book went 14-of-18 for 182 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed six times for 55 yards and one score. El Dorado Hills (Calif.) Oak Ridge (3-0) defeated Burbank 56-28.

Parker Boudreaux 
Boudreaux and Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore (3-0) defeated The First Academy 33-6. Bishop Moore had four rushing touchdowns.

Chase Claypool 
Claypool broke out in his season opener with touchdown receptions of 80, 59 and 50 yards as Abbotsford scored a 45-27 win over Lord Tweedsmuir. He returned a kick 89 yards for a touchdown, forced two fumbles, recovered a fumble and led his team in tackles. 

Liam Eichenberg
St. Ignatius (2-1) celebrated its 1,000th game in school history with a 27-point first quarter en route to a 41-0 win over Valley Forge. 

Jalen Elliott 
Elliott completed 7-of-9 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns as L.C. Bird improved to 3-0 with a 67-0 win over Midlothian. He ran six times for 85 yards and didn't allow a completion on defense. 

Dillan Gibbons '17 
Tampa (Fla.) Northside Christian registered a 20-6 win over Victory Christian to improve to 3-0. 

Jamir Jones 
Jones caught four passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns, including a Hail Mary to end the first half. He helped lead the Aquinas Institute (2-0) to a 33-8 win over Delaware Valley Charter School. He also recorded a sack on defense. 

Tony Jones Jr. 
No. 17 IMG Academy (2-1) defeated No. 12 Cocoa 49-7. Jones had 100 yards rushing and a 28-yard touchdown catch while playing just one half. Notre Dame running back Tarean Folston, a Cocoa alum, was in attendance. 

Tommy Kraemer 
Kraemer helped pave the way in a 35-17 Elder win during which it racked up more than 400 yards of total offense with 199 coming in the run game. Elder (3-0) saw its backs average 6.5 yards per carry. 

Julian Love 
Love punched in a run from the three-yard line for a touchdown and added about 11 tackles as La Grange Park (Ill.) Nazareth Academy (3-0) rolled to a 56-28 win over Chicago (Ill.) St. Patrick. Nazareth has won 17 in a row dating back to last season. 

Josh Lugg '17
North Allegheny (1-1) suffered a 28-14 loss to Pine-Richland after turning the ball over four times, all of which came in opposing territory. 

Ade Ogundeji 
Walled Lake Central lost its third straight to open the season in a 28-14 setback against Walled Lake Northern. Central allowed 397 total yards without giving up a completed pass. 

Julian Okwara 
Okwara had 13 tackles and one sack in Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell’s 41-37 loss to Hough. Ardrey Kell drops to 2-2. Okwara attended the Virginia game on Saturday.

Spencer Perry 
Perry did not register any stats in IMG’s 49-7 win. Perry said he did not see much action in favor of being rested for next week’s game when IMG travels to New Jersey to take on Bergen Catholic.

John Shannon
Loyola Academy is off to a 3-0 start after a 28-0 win over Brother Rice. Shannon's first team defense hasn't allowed a point this season. 

Kevin Stepherson 
Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast dropped to 0-2 with a 41-0 loss to powerhouse Miami Central. Stepherson had five catches for 59 yards. 

Brock Wright ‘17
Wright was targeted just once but made a 15-yard reception off it as Cy-Fair (1-1) attempted just eight passes in a 14-7 win at Cypress Creek.

The Targets

Damian Alloway 
Alloway had rushing touchdowns of 65 and 75 yards and two receiving scores in Fontana (Calif.) Summit’s 49-28 win over A.B. Miller. Summit improves to 2-0. Alloway will take an official visit next weekend to Arizona State. His official to Notre Dame is scheduled for Oct. 17. 

T.J. Brunson 
Columbia (S.C.) Richland Northeast fell to 0-3 with a 15-14 loss to Spring Valley even with a sterling effort from Brunson. He reported 25 tackles from his linebacker position. 

Marquez Callaway 
Callaway had four tackles, one pick-six and one interception in Georgia Warner Robbins’ 41-6 win over Cross Creek. His team moves to 3-0. Callaway visited South Carolina on Saturday.

Donnie Corley 
Corley had five catches and one 45-yard touchdown reception in Detroit (Mich.) King’s 20-15 win over East English Village Prep. King improves to 3-0. Corley visited Michigan State on Saturday.

Daelin Hayes
Skyline (2-1) suffered its first loss with a 45-6 setback to top ranked Saline and it might've come at a bigger cost. Hayes went down in the first quarter with a shoulder injury and didn't return. 

Mique Juarez 
North Torrance (Calif.) recorded a 48-0 shutout against Beverly Hills. The USC linebacker commitment accounted for five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing. He finished 7-of-13 passing for 140 yards. North Torrance is 2-1 on the season. 

Carlo Kemp 
Kemp had five tackles, three sacks and four quarterback hurries in Boulder (Colo.) Fairview's 35-17 win over Boulder.

Cole Kmet '17 
Kmet had three catches and a touchdown but St. Viator (1-2) went down 45-28 to Marist, the alma mater of Nic Weishar.

Javon McKinley 
McKinley had 10 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns for Corona Centennial (3-0) in a 35-14 win over Orange Lutheran. Notre Dame is his leader.

Osiris St. Brown '17 
St. Brown made his return to the Mater Dei lineup after a foot injury. He grabbed an 11-yard touchdown in a 42-7 win over La Mirada. Mater Dei improves to 3-0 this season.
