Notre Dame in the NFL: Week 3

Stephon Tuitt got a sack, Louis Nix and TJ Jones made NFL debuts and David Bruton came up big. Jimmy Clausen struggles against Seahawks.

Robert Blanton - safety - Minnesota Vikings

Blanton made one tackle for Minnesota (2-1) in a 31-14 win over San Diego.

Kyle Brindza - kicker - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brindza started strong with a 58-yard field goal. Then the wheels came off. He missed field goal attempts from 33, 41 and 57 yards plus shanked an extra point as Tampa Bay (1-2) took a 19-9 loss at Houston.

Sergio Brown - safety - Jacksonville Jaguars

Brown made three tackles for Jacksonville (1-2) in a 51-17 loss to New England.

David Bruton - safety - Denver Broncos

Bruton made two tackles and intercepted Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford late in the fourth quarter to help Denver (3-0) secure a 24-12 road win.

Jimmy Clausen - quarterback - Chicago Bears

Clausen went 9-of-17 passing for 63 yards as the Bears (0-3) suffered a 26-0 loss at Seattle. Clausen is now 1-11 as a starter in the NFL.

Tyler Eifert - tight end - Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton targeted Eifert three times but it resulted in no catches for the Bengals (3-0) in their 28-24 win over Baltimore.

Anthony Fasano - tight end - Tennessee Titans

Fasano made one catch for 26 yards while being targeted twice as Tennessee (1-2) suffered a 35-33 loss to Indianapolis.

Michael Floyd - wide receiver - Arizona Cardinals

Floyd made one catch for 12 yards on five targets for Arizona (3-0) in a 47-7 win over San Francisco.

Jonas Gray - running back - Miami Dolphins

Gray made the active roster then ran for 49 yards on nine carries for Miami (1-2) in a 41-14 loss to Buffalo.

Ryan Harris - offensive tackle - Denver Broncos

Harris started at right tackle for Denver in its win.

J.J. Jansen - long snapper - Carolina Panthers

Jansen featured again at long snapper for Carolina (3-0) in a 27-22 win over New Orleans.

TJ Jones - wide receiver - Detroit Lions

Jones made his NFL debut for Detroit (0-3) in its 24-12 loss to Denver. He contributed with a punt return for 28 yards.

Kapron Lewis-Moore - defensive end - Baltimore Ravens

Lewis-Moore made the active roster for Baltimore (0-3) in a 28-24 loss to Cincinnati.

Zack Martin - offensive guard - Dallas Cowboys

Martin started at right guard for Dallas (2-1) in its 39-28 loss to Atlanta.

Troy Niklas - tight end - Arizona Cardinals

Niklas remains down the depth chart at tight end for Arizona, which rolled to a win over San Francisco. Tight ends Jermaine Gresham and Darren Fells both recorded receptions in the victory.

Louis Nix - defensive tackle - New York Giants

Nix played seven snaps for the Giants (1-2) in their 32-21 win over Washington. He didn’t record any tackles in his NFL debut.

Theo Riddick - running back - Detroit Lions

Riddick made eight catches for 66 yards on 10 targets in the Detroit loss.

Cody Riggs - cornerback - Tennessee Titans

Tennessee (1-2) left Riggs off the active roster in its loss.

Trevor Robinson - center - San Diego Chargers

Robinson came off the bench to play some center for San Diego (1-2) in its 31-14 loss to Minnesota.

Kyle Rudolph - tight end - Minnesota Vikings

Rudolph made two catches on five targets for 14 yards in the Minnesota victory.

Harrison Smith - safety - Minnesota Vikings

Smith made six tackles (three solo) with a tackle-for-loss and pass breakup in Minnesota’s win.

Golden Tate - wide receiver - Detroit Lions

Tate grabbed five catches for 57 yards on seven targets in the Detroit loss.

Manti Teo - linebacker - San Diego Chargers

Te’o made three tackles (two solo) in San Diego’s loss.

Justin Tuck - defensive end - Oakland Raiders

Tuck picked up a couple assisted tackles for Oakland (2-1) in its 27-20 win over Cleveland.

Stephon Tuitt - defensive end - Pittsburgh Steelers

Tuitt registered six total tackles (five solo), one sack and a tackle-for-loss for Pittsburgh (2-1) in its 12-6 win over St. Louis.

Darrin Walls - cornerback - New York Jets

Walls didn’t make the active roster for New York (2-1) in its 24-17 loss to Philadelphia.

Chris Watt - center - San Diego Chargers

Watt started at center in San Diego’s loss but had to come out periodically with a groin injury suffered last week.

Ian Williams - defensive tackle - San Francisco 49ers

Williams made two tackles for San Francisco (1-2) in a 47-7 loss to Arizona.

Sam Young - offensive tackle - Jacksonville Jaguars
