Notre Dame in the NFL: Week 15

Golden Tate scored two touchdowns in a win while David Bruton played through injury, headlining former Notre Dame players in the NFL this week.

Robert Blanton - safety - Minnesota Vikings

Blanton played and made one tackle for Minnesota (9-5) in a 38-17 win over Chicago while continuing to battle a balky knee.

Sergio Brown - safety - Jacksonville Jaguars

Brown had four tackles and a tackle-for-loss as Jacksonville (5-9) fell 23-17 to Atlanta.

David Bruton - safety - Denver Broncos

Bruton suited up through a minor knee injury then fractured his fibula in the first quarter but kept playing for Denver (10-4) in a 34-27 loss to Pittsburgh. He finished with five tackles and is likely out 4-6 weeks.

Braxston Cave - center - Detroit Lions

Cave remains on the practice squad. Detroit improved to 5-9 with a 35-27 win over New Orleans.

Jimmy Clausen - quarterback - Baltimore Ravens  

Clausen made a second straight start for Baltimore (4-10) in a 34-14 loss to Kansas City. He was 26-of-45 passing for 281 yards and two touchdowns against a pair of interceptions. Clausen also ran it five times for 30 yards.

Tyler Eifert - tight end - Cincinnati Bengals

Eifert (concussion) was inactive for Cincinnati (11-3) in a 24-14 win over San Francisco.

Anthony Fasano - tight end - Tennessee Titans

Fasano had three catches for 21 yards for Tennessee (3-11) in a 33-16 loss to New England.

Darius Fleming - linebacker - New England Patriots

Fleming didn’t make any tackles as an active reserve for New England (12-2) in a 33-16 win over Tennessee. He did come into the game for starter Dont’a Hightower at one point.

Michael Floyd - wide receiver - Arizona Cardinals

Floyd led Arizona (12-2) with five receptions for 70 yards in a 40-17 win over Philadelphia.

Jonas Gray - running back - Miami Dolphins

Gray is on the practice squad. Miami (5-9) lost 30-14 to San Diego.

Ryan Harris - offensive tackle - Denver Broncos

Harris started at left tackle for Denver (10-4) in a 34-27 loss to Pittsburgh.

Bennett Jackson - safety - New York Giants

Jackson is on injured reserve as he recovers from a torn ACL. The Giants (6-8) rallied but ultimately lost 38-35 to unbeaten Carolina.

J.J. Jansen - long snapper - Carolina Panthers

Jansen stayed busy for Carolina (14-0) during a 38-35 win over the New York Giants.

TJ Jones - wide receiver - Detroit Lions

Jones reeled in both targets for 22 yards as the Lions (5-9) knocked off the Saints, 35-27.

Ben Koyack - tight end - Jacksonville Jaguars

Koyack is on the practice squad. Jacksonville (5-9) lost 23-17 to Atlanta.

Kapron Lewis-Moore - defensive end - Baltimore Ravens

Lewis-Moore was inactive for Baltimore (4-10) in a 34-14 loss to Kansas City.

Zack Martin - offensive guard - Dallas Cowboys

Martin started at right guard for Dallas (4-10) in a 19-16 loss to the Jets.

Troy Niklas - tight end - Arizona Cardinals

Niklas had three tackles on special teams duty for the Cardinals as a reserve tight end. Arizona (12-2) knocked off Philadelphia, 40-17.

Louis Nix - defensive tackle - New York Giants

Nix is on the practice squad. New York (6-8) dropped a last-minute loss to Carolina, 38-35.

Theo Riddick - running back - Detroit Lions

Riddick had two catches for 27 yards plus two carries for three yards as Detroit (5-9) beat New Orleans, 35-27.

Cody Riggs - cornerback - Tennessee Titans

Riggs made two tackles for Tennessee (3-11) in a 33-16 loss to New England.

Trevor Robinson - center - San Diego Chargers

Robinson started at center for San Diego (4-10) in a 30-14 win over Miami.

Kyle Rudolph - tight end - Minnesota Vikings

Teddy Bridgewater targeted Rudolph twice and it resulted in a couple catches for 21 yards. Minnesota (9-5) beat Chicago, 38-17.

Kona Schwenke - offensive tackle - Seattle Seahawks

Schwenke is on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL in the preseason. Seattle moved to 9-5 with a 30-13 win over Cleveland.

Harrison Smith - safety - Minnesota Vikings

Smith (hamstring) was inactive for Minnesota (9-5) in a 38-17 win over Chicago.

John Sullivan - center - Minnesota Vikings

Sullivan (back surgery) is on the injured reserve designated to return list, although his ability to get back on the field this season is in doubt after a second procedure following a rehab setback. Minnesota (9-5) beat Chicago, 38-17.

Golden Tate - wide receiver - Detroit Lions

Matthew Stafford targeted Tate a team-high six times as Detroit (5-9) knocked off New Orleans, 35-27. Tate caught all six en route to 45 yards and a couple touchdowns. He caught a one-yard pass in the first quarter to open up the scoring. Matthew Stafford found Tate again from five yards out in the second quarter to make it a 21-3 Lions lead.

Manti Te’o - linebacker - San Diego Chargers

Te’o had seven tackles for San Diego (4-10) in its 30-14 win over Miami.

Justin Tuck - defensive end - Oakland Raiders

Tuck (pectoral) is on injured reserve. Oakland (6-8) fell out of playoff contention following a 30-20 loss to Green Bay.

Stephon Tuitt - defensive end - Pittsburgh Steelers

Tuitt had five tackles for Pittsburgh (9-5) in a 34-27 win over Denver.

Darrin Walls - cornerback - New York Jets

Walls was an active reserve defensive back and special teams player for the Jets (9-5) in a 19-16 win over Dallas.

Chris Watt - center - San Diego Chargers

Watt is on injured reserve. San Diego (4-10) knocked off Miami, 30-14.

Ian Williams - defensive tackle - San Francisco 49ers

Williams had six tackles and a sack but San Francisco (4-10) dropped a 24-14 loss to Cincinnati.

Cierre Wood - running back - Buffalo Bills

Wood is on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL. Buffalo (6-8) lost to Washington, 35-25.

Sam Young - offensive tackle - Jacksonville Jaguars

Young was an active reserve tackle for Jacksonville again this week. The Jaguars (5-9) fell 23-17 to the Falcons.
