Rod Council has been a busy guy. "I went to camps at Clemson, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Wake Forrest, Virginia and I also attended the Nike Camp."
Council says he picked up a few offers along the way. "I have nine offers now. Notre Dame, Virginia, Michigan, Clemson, Wake Forrest, E. Carolina, Duke and Navy have offered me so far. I liked the Virginia camp the best. They offered me right after. I liked the coaching staff there and I liked the school."
North Carolina and NC State haven't offered him however. "They both said they were going to offer but the coaches have been gone on vacation. They are back now so maybe something will come from them soon."
Council doesn't plan to make a decision any time soon. "I'm going to take all five of my visits. I want to see some schools before I decide. Right now, Virginia, Michigan and Notre Dame will probably get visits."
Notre Dame is a school Council would like to see. "It's a great school. I want to go see it because I don't know about it. I haven't talked to them as much like the other coaches but it's a great school and they have my major. I want to major in engineering."
Comments. I would say Virginia has the lead at this point. I do think if Notre Dame calls him early in September that they will secure a visit. I do think they might need to pull out the ace in Coach Tyrone Willingham to get back to the top. I think Rod will really like Willingham. Hopefully he will be the one to call in September.
