Notre Dame picked up its fourth commitment in three days when Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star prospect Drew White announced for the Irish on Monday evening.
White chose Notre Dame over offers from Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, Syracuse, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound inside linebacker added a Notre Dame offer on Saturday during his first visit to campus for Junior Day, an experience that White gave high remarks.
“It was awesome,” White said. “So special. It’s definitely unique from any other school that I’ve visited.”
Notre Dame is recruiting White, who missed most of last season with a foot injury, to play the Will and Mike linebacker positions.
White is Notre Dame’s second linebacker to join the 2017 class after Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic middle linebacker David Adams committed on Sunday evening.
White’s older brother, Sean White, is a sophomore quarterback at Auburn.
