Reagan Remains Interested in Irish

Idalou, TX prospect Shae Reagan is one impressive athlete. The 6-4, 230-pound quarterback/linebacker prospect has a wealth of talent and college coaches have taken notice. The Irish are recruiting Reagan and he remains interested in Notre Dame. Will an offer increase his interest in the Irish?

Shae Reagan has had a busy summer. "We went to see Oklahoma State, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado earlier this summer," said Reagan. "Last week we went to Texas A&M, Baylor and TCU. Today we went and saw Texas Tech. I liked all of them really. Each one had something nice about it."

Reagan's list of offers is starting to grow. "I have offers from A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Utep, OSU, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Wisconsin, Baylor and ASU. Notre Dame said they were going to offer and I've been talking to OU and Florida."

With all the offers, Reagan remains open to anyone. "I'm still open, I don't have a leader at this point."

The Irish haven't offered officially yet. "I haven't spoken to them this summer. They send me letters but they can't call. I would be interested if they offered me but I don't know if they are going to offer me. If I did get an offer, I'd be interest and I'd consider them."

The Texas native says he is going to go through the process. "I will take all my visits. I have an open week during the season so I will probably take that week and go see a game. I'll take the rest during basketball season. "

When asked about what will be important, Reagan had this to say. I think the overall surroundings will be important. The education will also be important. How comfortable I feel with the coaches, players and the overall surroundings of the school."

Reagan has a top six right now and they can't seem to decide on what the best position for him to play will be. "In no particular order, Nebraska (QB), Texas A&M (athlete on defense), TCU (QB), OSU (QB), Texas Tech (ATH) and Notre Dame (FB/LB)."

Reagan will have to decide what position he wants to play in college. "I'd still like to play quarterback but some people a lot smarter than me (college coaches) keep saying I would be one heck of an outside linebacker or defensive end. They think this is the best way for me to get to the NFL. I really like playing quarterback and I think with the right system and coach I might have a shot at making the NFL as a quarterback. I really don't know how I'm going to decide on that."

Comments. I just saw film on Reagan yesterday. This kid is one heck of an athlete. He could play a number of positions and be very good at all. If the Irish want to remain in the race, they will have to offer soon. If they do offer, I think they will at least get a visit. I will have my thoughts posted soon on his film.
