Calvin Darity is quite the player-college coaches would agree. "I have offers from Maryland, Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, Toledo, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Alabama and Nebraska. That is all I can think of right now."
Darity is also an excellent student. "My g.p.a is a 3.8 and I scored 1100 on the SAT and 23 on the ACT."
The Irish have shown interest in Darity but haven't offered him yet. "They send letters and I talked to a coach at spring practice but they haven't offered me. I would be interested if they offered. I'm interested in anyone who offers me."
Darity says he is wide open right now and hasn't begun to narrow it down yet. "I'm open right now. We are trying to gather as much information as we can about each school. I don't know when I will narrow it down. I'm not sure how many official visits I will take. We are just trying to get as much information as we can about each school and then we'll decide."
The Florida native does know what is important to him. "A good campus, a good tradition surrounding the program and a good education. Going away for school with not be a problem at all for me."
Comments. Darity is the type of player and person the Irish are always interested in. He isn't a tackle however and that might be the reason he hasn't been offered. I've heard great things about him as a player and I do think the Irish will recruit him. I'll keep an eye on Calvin to see if the Irish throw their hat in the ring. If they offer, I think he will be interested.
