Big Board: Wide Receiver

Notre Dame has made strides with multiple receiver targets during the spring evaluation period. Many are already planning visits for the Irish Invasion this summer.

CURRENT OUTLOOK

Notre Dame lost its top three receivers from last season in Will Fuller, Chris Brown and Amir Carlisle. It’s not clear if a fourth, Corey Robinson, will be on the roster this fall. If Robinson does return, the depth chart heading into fall camp could shape up like this:

X: Torii Hunter Jr., Kevin Stepherson, Javon McKinley
Z: C.J. Sanders, Corey Holmes
W: Corey Robinson, Equanimeous St. Brown, Miles Boykin, Chase Claypool

There’s uncertainty Robinson will play out his final year after suffering three concussions in the past year. He’s on track to graduate from Notre Dame this weekend. In an appearance on SportsCenter during the NFL Draft weekend, Brian Kelly said Robinson could make a decision this month on whether or not to play.

WHAT’S NEXT

Notre Dame inked three receivers last cycle and four in 2015, so there is solid depth at the position.

Expect Notre Dame to sign three or four receivers in this class.

Here’s a look at the Watch List.
