New offers have been few and far between in the month of August as Notre Dame’s coaching staff prioritizes the start of the regular season, but junior wide receiver Kevin Austin added an Irish offer on Monday.
“They like my ability as a 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver,” Austin said. “I have good hand-eye coordination, I can break tackles easily with my size, and I can run away from defenders.”
The Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep standout also touts offers from Kentucky, Miami, Michigan State, N.C. State, North Carolina, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee and Central Florida.
Notre Dame figures to be in the mix going forward in large part to the success of former Irish wide out Will Fuller.
“They just graduated a really good wide receiver and I know they’ve had some good wide receivers in the past,” Austin said. “I like the coaching staff a lot and they’re producing great talent.”
Over the summer Austin visited Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami and Tennessee.
North Carolina offered last week.
“I’m still going through the process and don’t have any favorites,” Austin said. “Of course Notre Dame will be under consideration. I really like their coaches.”
