One of the best athletes in the country plans to spend next weekend on Notre Dame’s campus.

Five-star safety Devon Hunter is set for an official visit, per regional recruiting analyst Michael Clark. Hunter will be in town when the Irish host Stanford in their second and final home night game of the season.

Hunter, a 6-foot-1, 206-pound prospect from Chesapeake, Va., is ranked as the top safety in the country. He’s currently slotted at No. 5 overall in the Scout300.

Other scholarship offers on the table include Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, among others.

Hunter will be getting his first in-depth look at Notre Dame and won’t be the only five-star talent expected on campus. Offensive tackle Foster Sarell, the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect, is scheduled to visit as well. Top Stories
