Marcus Freeman had a pretty busy summer. He went to Purdue on an unofficial visit and also visited Ohio State camp where he recorded a 4.4 40-yard dash. That kind of speed to go with a 6-2, 230-pound frame makes Freeman an attractive target.
Freeman has already started his senior season. "We lost our first game--I wasn't happy about that," said Freeman. "We didn't get an update on our stats so I don't know how many tackles I had."
Freeman says he has a top five right now. IMy top five are Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami and Oklahoma."
Freeman says he plans to take some visits this year before deciding. "I'm going to take all five of my visits. I plan to take as many visits as I can to schools during games. I want to go check out the atmosphere at a bunch of schools. I'll probably make 2 or 3 officials during the season."
The Ohio native has already visited Notre Dame. "I went as a sophomore and I want to go back there again. It was a nice place. I haven't met the new staff so I want to meet them. I went when the old staff was there."
Ohio State has been mentioned as the leader and many speculate the Buckeyes will be tough to beat. "I would say they have a slight lead over everyone because I know them the best. I've been there so many times but every school in my top five has just as good a chance. I'll take my visits and then we'll see what happens."
Comments: . The good news is he plans to visit Notre Dame. He also hasn't met the staff yet so that could help. I still think Ohio State is the team to beat. We think the Irish will have to get a visit during the season to stay in the race.
