Notre Dame in the NFL: Week 10

Michael Floyd reemerged in Week 10 with his first 100-yard game of the season. C.J. Prosise led the Seahawks in rushing and receiving during a big road win. Irish Illustrated takes you around the NFL from a Notre Dame perspective.

Arizona: WR Michael Floyd, TE Troy Niklas

Floyd had five catches for 101 yards as Arizona (4-4-1) held on for a 23-20 win over the 49ers. Niklas (wrist) is on injured reserve. His season is likely over.

Baltimore: OT Ronnie Stanley, DE Kapron Lewis-Moore

Stanley has been the starter at left tackle when healthy. Baltimore (5-4) is unbeaten when he plays this season, including a 28-7 win over the Browns this week. The Ravens lost four in a row with Stanley sidelined by a football injury. Lewis-Moore is on the practice squad.

Buffalo: S Robert Blanton, S Sergio Brown

Buffalo (4-5) had its bye this week.

Carolina: LS J.J. Jansen

Jansen continues to be the starting long snapper for Carolina, which dropped to 3-6 with a 20-17 loss to Kansas City this week.

Cincinnati: TE Tyler Eifert, CB KeiVarae Russell

Eifert led the Bengals in receiving yards with 96 on three receptions in a 21-20 loss to the Giants.  Russell was inactive again. He’s yet to make the active roster since joining Cincinnati (3-5-1) earlier this season.

Cleveland: George Atkinson III

Atkinson didn’t get any kick return action for Cleveland (0-10) in a 28-7 loss to Baltimore.

Dallas: WR Chris Brown, OL Zack Martin, LB Jaylon Smith

Dallas moved to 8-1 with a 35-30 win over the Steelers. Martin started at right guard, as usual. Smith, who started the season on the reserve/non-football injury list, is officially eligible to practice. That gives the Cowboys a six-week window to return Smith to practice. If he’s not back in the mix by Week 12, Smith will likely have to go on injured reserve. Owner Jerry Jones has yet to officially rule Smith out for the season. Brown, an undrafted free agent signing, is on injured reserve for the season after breaking his foot in preseason practice.

Detroit: RB Theo Riddick, WR Golden Tate, TJ Jones

Detroit (5-4) had its bye this week.

Houston: WR Will Fuller, OL Nick Martin

Fuller (knee) didn’t make the active roster this week for Houston (6-3) in a 24-21 win over Jacksonville. Martin is on injured reserve after preseason ankle surgery.

Indianapolis: DB Matthias Farley

Indianapolis (4-5) had its bye this week.

Jacksonville: DL Sheldon Day, TE Ben Koyack, DT Louis Nix

Koyack had three receptions for 35 yards as Jacksonville dropped to 2-7 with a 24-21 loss to the Texans. Day didn’t make any tackles. Nix is on the practice squad.

Minnesota: TE Kyle Rudolph, S Harrison Smith

Rudolph made five catches for 69 yards and one touchdown, but Minnesota (5-4) lost its fourth straight with a 26-20 defeat to Washington. Sam Bradford hit Rudolph from 20 yards out to pull the Vikings into a 14-14 tie late in the second quarter. Smith had seven tackles.

New York Giants:  DE Romeo Okwara, LB Ishaq Williams

Okwara had two tackles for the Giants (6-3) in a 21-20 win over Cincinnati. Williams is on the practice squad.

Pittsburgh: OT Ryan Harris, DE Stephon Tuitt

Tuitt had three tackles, one sack and a tackle-for-loss as Pittsburgh dropped to 4-5 with a 35-30 loss to the Cowboys. Harris injured his leg in Week 4 and hit injured reserve, meaning his season is likely over.

San Diego: LB Manti Te’o, OL Chris Watt

Te’o is on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 3. Watt (knee) is on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list with the window for his return to practice officially opening up two weeks ago. San Diego dropped to 4-6 with a 31-24 loss to the Dolphins.

Seattle: RB C.J. Prosise

Prosise continues to earn more playing time and turned in his best game yet for Seattle (6-2-1) in a 31-24 win over the Patriots. He led the team with seven receptions for 87 yards while adding 17 carries for another 66 yards.

Tennessee: TE Anthony Fasano, CB Cody Riggs

Fasano had one catch for nine yards as the Titans improved to 5-5 with a 47-25 win over Green Bay. Riggs is on the practice squad.

Washington: S David Bruton

Bruton hit injured reserve after suffering a concussion. He’d started the first four games at safety. Washington moved to 5-3-1 with a 26-20 win over the Vikings.
