Gorham Doesn't Want to Drag it Out

Pottstown PA is home of one of the state's more coveted athletes in CB Chris Gorham. Gorham's senior football season started last weekend, and it's been all eyes on him as coaches from across the country have been out to see him play. Gorham sat down to talk recruiting with IrishEyes.

Chris Gorham, the 6'0 175lb CB from Pottstown HS (PA) worked extremely hard in the offseason preparing for his senior season. It paid off in his first game. "We played Norristown last Friday. We won 28-0" said Gorham. "It was good to finally get back out there and play."

Gorham finished the game with 4 catches for 35 yards, 8 rushes for 50 yards and a touchdown on offense. On defense, he had 6 tackles and one pass breakup. "They really weren't throwing it to my side" said Gorham. That's a good thing right? "I guess it's a good thing. It really helps my team, and it let's me know that I'm doing my job. It get's boring though when the quarterback isn't even looking to your side" Gorham said jokingly.

How's recruiting been shaping up for Gorham? "I'm looking at Virginia, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech. Those are the schools that have offered me and Virginia is recruiting me the hardest right now. I'm going to try to visit those three this month, or early next month. I want to decide sometime in October I don't really want to drag it out. I may take all five visits depending on who comes into the equation. But Virginia, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech are the three I'm looking at right now.

IrishEyes will be on hand to check out a few of Gorham's games this year. Pottstown plays at Phoenixville this weekend. They'll be making plenty of road trips this year since there are problems with the Pottstown field. "We're getting a new field, and it's not ready yet. Our next 6 games are all on the road. It should be fun though. You should come check us out."

IrishEyes will be doing just that.

Comments: UVA appears to be in the lead right now, but things could change after he visits Notre Dame. He'll be setting up his visits soon, and IrishEyes will keep you posted on when Mr. Gorham plans on being in South Bend.
