The expected hurricane could cause problems for both Chris Gorham and Rod Council. "I can't say what will happen but I have plenty of open weekends to where I get there. They just wanted me to get down there early so I'm trying to make that happen."
Council also has a few other visits set already. "I'm going to Virginia on October 18th. I'm scheduled to go to Michigan the second weekend in December. Virginia Tech wants me to come some time in December. I don't know who my fifth school is right now. That's pretty open. We sent some video to Miami and Florida State and I'll wait and see if they contact me."
Council says he's been keeping in contact with defensive backs coach Trent Walters all the time. "We've been talking a lot. I really like him. He's talked to me about how he coaches, how many guys he's put into the league and what it takes to get there. My grandma loves him. He's a real spiritual guy and she really likes that."
The Charlotte corner prospects says he also has a fondness for Tyrone Willingham. "I talked to him about a month ago. He's a real cool dude. I just like what he has to say and I'm real excited to get to talk to him again this weekend."
Council also says he has a list of things he'll be looking for when he is at Notre Dame. "I'm going to check out the area and the campus and see if I like it. The coaches will be important. You talk to them and you think you know them but sometimes it's different in person. I just want to get a feel for them in person, meet the players and see if that is the kind of environment I want to play in."
Could a decision be on the horizon for Council? "My grandma and my coach want me to look at my options. I'm kinda liking it (Notre Dame) a lot right now. I'm doing a project for school right now where I research a bunch of schools including Notre Dame. I've liked what I've found out about Notre Dame."
Comments. The first task is getting he an Gorham on campus. The hurricane could be a problem. I think Rod is going to like Notre Dame quite a bit once they get him on campus.
