"I'm hearing from a lot of schools" said Chris Pressley. "There's Nebraska, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia, Boston College, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, and Rutgers. I think that's all of them."
With an impressive list of schools recruiting him, which schools have offered Pressley scholarships? "All of the schools I [listed] have offered me except for Notre Dame. I was considering Penn State, but they never offered. I'm not considering them anymore."
What does Pressley think of Notre Dame? "I like Notre Dame. They haven't offered me, but I'm still considering them. They've called me this month, and I'd like to hear more from them."
Through two games, Pressley's Woodbury team is 1-1 beating Haddonfield, but losing to Paulsboro last weekend. Though obviously dissappointed with the one loss, Pressley has been happy with his performance so far. "I've played well so far. I had six rushes for 72 yards in the first game, and 8 rushes for 91 last game. Next week is going to be a big test for me. My coaches are going to start using me in different ways. They want me to run off tackle more. I usually get all my yards up the middle between the tackles. I'm looking forward to being able to run off tackle now. It will be more opportunities for me."
Pressley has been doing a good job of keeping his mind on his season, and still keeping up with his recruiting. He's set up a couple visits as well. "All the calls can be overwhelming sometimes. Some days you just get bombarded with phone calls. But it comes with the territory. So far I've set up visits to Wisconsin for October 5th, and Indiana for October 13th. I'm also taking an unofficial to Maryland next weekend for the Clemson game."
Pressley is fully qualified. He has a 1090 SAT score (which he received his sophomore year), and currently has a 92% average GPA (on a scale of 100).
Comments: Pressley is a Notre Dame kid. He's very well spoken, and very intelligent. Looks like Wisconsin may have a small lead for him at the moment. Alvarez does a good job recruiting the Philly/South Jersey area, and is doing a good job with Pressley. If the Irish offer things may change. He said he doesn't plan to decide until early January, so the Irish have time to get in the race if they want to. We'll have to see.
