Lyles Names His Top Five

Nate Lyles, the 6'0, 185lb defensive back from Chicago has helped his team to an undefeated mark so far this season, and the calls have been pouring in from college recruiters. Lyles took time out to talk to IrishEyes about recruiting, and named his top 5.

Hubbard HS is 4-0 right now, and Nate Lyles is a big reason for that undefeated record. Last week against rival Dunbar HS, Lyles recorded 10 tackles, while keeping the Dunbar receivers in check. For the season, Lyles has 31 tackles, and an interception.

Recruiting is starting to heat up for Lyles. "I'm hearing from a bunch of schools, but my top five in no particular order are Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan, Stanford, and Virginia" said Lyles. "I'm also hearing from schools like Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nebraska among others" he continued"

Obviously education will be a major factor in Lyles decision. All of the schools in Lyles top five are very good schools academically. "Education will be the most important factor in my decision. Other than that, I'll be looking at the football system of the school and how I would fit in, as well as the schools depth charts."

Lyles is in no rush to make a decision. "I'm not going to set up any official visits until after my season. I've been to Notre Dame on unofficial visits a few times though."

Lyles is fully qualified with a 3.85 GPA, and scored a 26 on the ACT.

Comments: Notre Dame is very much in the picture with Lyles, and is probably in his top 3. Not much more will be known until after Lyles takes a few official visits. Top Stories
