Lyles Focusing on Season

Chicago, IL prospect Nate Lyles has kicked off his season with a great start already. The 6-0, 175-pound cornerback prospect says he's focusing on his season and recruiting will have to come after his season is final. Will the Irish get a visit?

Nate Lyles is having a good senior season. "We're 5-0 right now," said Lyles. "I've been playing well. I have 35 tackles and 3 interceptions. I'm playing on offense too. I've played quarterback, running back and wide receiver so far."

Lyles did find time to take in one college football game this season. "I went to the Michigan/Notre Dame game. I haven't been to any other games. I want to go to more but we have a lot of Saturday games coming up so I'm not sure I can make any more."

Lyles says he has no idea who he will visit at this point. "I really don't know. I will probably set them up at the end of my season. Virginia is the only school I know I'll visit for sure."

The Chicago native says he's interested in a number of schools. "Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Virginia, Michigan and Stanford are the schools I'm considering. Michigan and Stanford haven't offered me yet."

Comments: It seems the Irish are slipping a bit with Lyles. The Irish used to be the first school out of his mouth but not lately. We think Virginia and Michigan might be his two favorite schools at this point. Hopefully the Irish can get him to take a visit and get back in the race.
