LB Cyrus Garrett 6-3 215 4.6 Romeoville, Illinois
Cyrus Garrett is among the Top 101 prospects in the nation regardless of position. Cyrus is a physical specimen, the high school version of "The Freak" Jevon Kearse.
There are better linebackers in the country at this time but none have the upside and potential of Garrett. He's still very young and his best football is in front of him. Garrett has set up four of his official visits.
"I'm going to USC on November 16th for their game with UCLA." Garrett said. "I'm going to Illinois on November 30th. I'm going to Arizona on December 7th and Penn State on December 14th.
I'm not going to take an official visit to Notre Dame because I've already been there several times. My last visit will probably by Miami. My coach spoke with the Miami coaches the other day and we just need to decide on a visit date.
I'd say right now my favorites are Notre Dame and Miami. I don't have a leader. I want to take my visits and then make a decision."
So far in 2001, Garrett has 57 tackles and 10 sacks.
