Woodland Hills high school is happy to have Devon Lyons on their team. Lyons is off to a fast start and his team is currently 6-2 right now. "So far, I have 21 catches for 720 yards and 13 touchdowns," said Lyons. "I also have 46 tackles, one interception and two fumble recoveries"
Lyons liked his visit to Notre Dame recently. "It was real nice. I liked the coaches a lot. I definitely felt that I fit in with the players there. It felt a lot like here so I felt real comfortable there. They told me they are recruiting me as with a wide receiver or at defensive back. I really don't care where I play."
The Pittsburgh native also has a visit scheduled for Michigan State. "I'm going to Michigan State on November 1st. After that, I will probably take my visits after my season. I want to take all five so I'm pretty sure I will."
Lyons says Notre Dame and Michigan are his top two schools right now. "They are still my top two. I don't have a leader out of the two right now. It's those two and then everyone else is kind of there."
Lyons says he will start setting the rest of his visit towards the end of his season.
Comments: The Irish are looking pretty good for Lyons. I do think Michigan State is a legitimate threat and anything can happen between now and when he makes his decision. The Notre Dame coaches will have to stay on top of him to close the deal.
