Walker To Visit Notre Dame

Buford, GA prospect, Darius Walker, has had a fantastic season so far leading his team to a 6-0 record. Walker has set some official visits already including one to Notre Dame. When will Walker be visiting?

Darius Walker is having an impressive senior season. "We're 6-0 right now. I've rushed for 968 yards and 18 touchdowns. Last week, I had 229 yards rushing and five touchdowns. We play are toughest game this week. They are No. 2 in the region so it will be a big game."

Walker has set some visits already. "I'm visiting Stanford on January 9th, Notre Dame on January 23rd, and Ohio State on Decemeber 5th."

For his final two visits, Walker remains undecided. "The last two schools I visit will come from my top 10. My top 10 is Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Southern Cal, Alabama, Arkansas, Stanford, Tennessee and Maryland. I really don't know when I'll set the other two visits. I suppose I will when I know who they are."

Notre Dame has been keeping in contact with Walker. "Coach Miles calls me all the time. We talk about the school, the season they're having, stuff like that. I'm actually planning on going up there next weekend for the Florida State game. I think we are driving up there for that so I'm looking forward to that."

Walker says he still plans to take all five visits and will decide sometime in late January or February.

Comments: I think it's a very good sign that he plans to take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame. Walker remains very interested in Notre Dame. Hopefully the Irish can sign him. He's a special talent at a need position.
