Arlich Will Make a Stop in South Bend

Things are starting to pick up for Jerod Arlich, the mammtoh 6'4 250lb FB from Minnesota. His Mahtomedi HS team won it's first round playoff game last weekend, and recruiting is starting to pickup as well.

With the first playoff game in the books, Arlich is looking for big things at the end of this season. He helped his team to a decisive 41-8 victory last week, while rushing 8 times for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns. With his season still alive, recruiting is really starting to pick up. "Things are starting to pick up a bit with recruiting now" said Jerod Arlich. "I have offers from Northwestern, Wisconsin, Navy, Colorado, and Minnesota so far."

Other schools are starting to get in the mix as well. "I sent some film to Iowa, and they told me they were very impressed" said Arlich. They want to sit down and talk to me in person before they offer me. Notre Dame too. I think they are waiting for some more game film before they offer. I talked to coach Mattison from Notre Dame, and said they were close to offering me."

Arlich has already decided where he'll be taking his visits. Well, almost. "I'm going to Notre Dame on November first for an official visit. I've already been to Colorado on an official. I'm suppose to be going to Wisconsin on December 12th, but Minnesota wanted me to come in that day as well. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that date yet. I'm going to Northwestern on December 5th, and Navy wants me to come on January 12th. I know we're only allowed to take five official visits so I'm not sure if I'm going to visit Navy or not. As you can tell, I'm still trying to figure things out."

One things for sure, Irish fans can expect to see Arlich in the stands on November 1st for the showdown with Florida State. IrishEyes will keep you posted on Arlich when he figures out his visit schedule.

Comments: Looks like Arlich is pretty open at this point. He was a great kid to talk to. We will know a lot more after he takes his visit to South Bend.
