Council Back From Michigan Visit

<P>Charlotte, NC prospect Rod Council recently returned from his official visit to Michigan. The 6-1, 180-pound corner prospect has visited Notre Dame and Virginia, as well as Michigan. He has a visit set for Virginia Tech this weekend. How are the Irish sitting with Council right now?

Rod Council said he liked his visit to Michigan. "It was pretty nice," said Council of his visit. "We had a game the night before so I didn't get a lot of sleep. I had fun, but I was a little bit tired."

Council says he's enjoyed all his visit so far. "I pretty much got along with everyone at all the schools I've visited. I'm a people person so I can usually get along with anyone."

So which has been his favorite visit so far? "Notre Dame was my most favorite visit so far. They're still my top school. Virginia and Michigan are also right there."

We asked Council what his plans were from here on out. "I have a visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. I've had a bunch of schools calling me. Tennessee, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, they want me to visit but I think they kind of came in a little late. I'll probabyl decide between these four."

Does Rod have a time frame for his decision? "I will probably make my decision sometime before the new year. I've wanted to get this over with. I'll talk it over and then decide."

Comments: The Irish are looking pretty good for Council right now. We'll have to see if this holds up or not. Hopefully the Irish can hang on to this fine corner.
