Tregg Duerson Becomes 7th Commitment to Notre Dame

Notre Dame received it's seventh commitment on the season from cornerback prospect Tregg Duerson. Duerson is the son of former Irish great, Dave Duerson. The 5-10, 170-pound Chicago native also plays running back in high school.

Irish Eyes spoke with Loyola Academy coach, Carl Favaro earlier today about Duerson. "He has rushed for 184 carries this year and 1,200 yards," said Favaro. "He has also scored 15 touchdowns in 9 1/2 games for us this year. Most schools were talking to him about playing cornerback in college. He's a tremendous kid, he's very talented. I think if you put 20 pounds on him, they might look at him at running back. He's done excellent at running back for us this year." Favaro also added that with the Notre Dame family connection, Tregg was very excited to commit to the Irish. Top Stories
