Patterson Sets Visit to Notre Dame

Nick Patterson has set his five official visits including a visit to Notre Dame. The 6-2, 200-pound safey prospect is set to play his last game of his senior season as his Hazelwood Central team will play in the State Championship this weekend. Where will Patterson be visiting on his five official visits?

Nick Patterson is having an outstanding senior season. "We are still playing," said Patterson. "We play in the State Championship game this weekend. I have 44 receptions for 758 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense. On defense, I have 73 tackles and one interception."

Recruiting has also been on Patterson's mind lately. "I just talked to Coach Walters from Notre Dame and I set a visit there for January 16th. I'm also visiting Ohio State on December 5th, Missouri on December 12th, Wisconsin on December 19th, and UCLA on January 9th."

Patterson says he plans to take all five of his visits. "I'm pretty sure I'll take all five. I won't say never, but I want to take a look at all five of them."

We asked Nick why he decided to set a visit to Notre Dame. "They were one of my favorite schools from the beginning. Coach Walters told me to be patient and the offer finally came. Coach Walters kept reassuring me that I was one of their top targets. I like Coach Walters, he's honest. I like his experience. My Dad really likes his experience. He's coached a long time, and in the NFL. I also like Coach Willingham a lot."

Comments: The Irish should have a legitimate shot at Patterson. We knew Patterson liked the Irish from the very beginning. We think Notre Dame will be tough to beat if he takes all five of his visits.
