Talley Sets Visit to Notre Dame

Ronald Talley has seen his stock rise this year. The 6-4, 245-pound defensive end prospect has received an impressive list of offers lately, including one from Notre Dame. Talley has also scheduled a visit to Notre Dame. What do he think of Notre Dame? Where else will he visit?

Ronald Talley has finished his senior season and recruiting is taking priority. "We finished 6-4 on the year," said Talley. "I only played in five games because I had an ankle injury. I was averaging about 15 tackles and game, and I had five sacks."

Talley has an impressive list of offers already. "Toldeo, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Bowling Green, Louisville, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa, and just last week, Notre Dame."

We asked Talley what he thought of the offer from Notre Dame. "I was real excited about that. I was hoping they would offer. They are a program on the rise, and they really like me. I like their defense a lot. I think I've got a chance to play early there. They play a lot of younger guys so I might be able to take advantage of that."

"I went up there for an unofficial visit in the summer, and I went to the BYU game. I really liked it there. I liked the players, the campus, I really liked Coach Mattison and Coach Willingham. Coach Willingham really has an effect on you."

Talley has scheduled more visits besides Michigan State. "I'm visiting Iowa on December 5th, and Notre Dame on December 12th. I have a visit scheduled to Louisville on January 9th. I will visit either Miami of Ohio or Wisonsin with my last visit. If I don't take Miami of Ohio, they will still be high on my list. They were the first to offer me, and I really like them."

As for a leader, Talley says he won't know until after his visits. "I really don't have a leader. Pretty much the schools I will visit will be my leaders. I plan to take all five visits, but I'm ready for this to be over. I will commit as soon as I'm done making my visits."

Comments: Notre Dame jumped right into the mix with an offer. We feel that Notre Dame is very high on his list. We'll know more after he takes a few visits.
