Smith Sets More Visits

Tempe offensive line prospect Allen Smith has been really busy as of late. Smith has already visited Notre Dame and Arizona State. He has also set a few more visits. When can we expect a decision from Smith?

Allen Smith has been really busy lately. "It's been hectic around here, and will be for the next few weeks. Recruiting has been going good, but I still have a lot of school work, and I have a lot of things I do after school that keeps me busy. I haven't been home lately to talk to anyone."

Smith has set his remaining vists. "I'm visiting Washington on December 12th and UCLA on December 19th. I had Stanford set up for December 5th, but I have to move that. Stanford will be in January, probably on the 9th."

The Irish are still recruiting Smith heavily. "I haven't spoken to them for a while. I know Coach Willingham talked to my Mom and said he would be here in January. They call me all the time, but I'm not home often."

The plan is to take all five visits right now. "I will take all five visits. I don't think I can make an educated decision without taking all five."

Many speculate that this will be a Notre Dame-Stanford battle. We asked Smith if that were true. "I really don't have a leader. I will look at all the schools fairly. Arizona State has a lot of my friends playing for them. I love the coaching staff at Washington, and they have a good computer science program. Microsoft is based out of there. UCLA has been recruiting me since the very beginning, and they were one of the first to offer me. I will look at all the schools fairly."

Comments: Smith seems pretty open at this point. We do believe the Irish will be difficult to beat, however. Notre Dame just needs to stay on top of Smith. Don't count anyone out at this point, however.
