Taylor Receives Visit From Irish Coach

Running back prospect Samson Taylor is still playing in his final season. His The Woodlands high school team will play for the State Championship this weekend. Taylor has focused on his senior season this year, and hasn't set any visits as of yet. Will he visit Notre Dame?

Samson Taylor is still playing his final high school season. "We play in the championship this weekend," said Taylor. I have over 1,800 yards and 30 tochdowns on the season."

The Irish recently visited Taylor. "They came for an in-home yesterday. It was Coach Preston. He said they were going to offer me a scholarship."

Taylor says he hasn't set any visits because of his season. "I just want to finish my season, have all my focus on that. I'll set my visits after my season."

Will the Irish likely get a visit. "I don't know. Maybe, it's a good school. I like Notre Dame."

Taylor has received a number of impressive offers this season. "Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Baylor, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, Duke, I know I'm missing some. There's been a lot."

Taylor has a busy schedule this week as well. "Notre Dame came yesterday, Colorado State came today. I have Michigan State on Wednesday, and Texas A&M on Thursday."

Comments: The Irish could get in the race if they offer. Taylor seems wide open at this point. We'll keep an eye on him and see if Notre Dame does offer.
