Young Sets Visit To Notre Dame

Washington wide receiver prospect Chancellor Young recently returned from his trip to San Antonio and the Army All-American bowl. Young has also set a few visits recently, including a visit to Notre Dame.

Chancellor Young enjoyed his experience at the Army game. "It was a great opportunity to play with some of the best athletes," said Young. "I got a chance to see what college was going to be like, the speed of the game, it was a great opportunity."

Young also thought he played well. "I thought I played pretty well. That was the first time I played strong safety. That was fun. I'd never played that position before. This might be the last time I play on defense so that was fun." Does Young consider himself an offensive player? "Yeah, I think I'm more of an offensive player."

The Seattle native has also scheduled a few visits. "I'm going to Duke this weekend. I'm also going to Notre Dame on January 30th. That's just how it worked out for us. I'm also talking to Oregon and UCLA about a visit. My parents are trying to work that out."

The Irish have also been by his home for a visit. "Coach McDonnell came by my school. We also had a Notre Dame coach come by for an in-home visit. I'm sorry, I can't remember his name."

Does Young have a leader at this point? "I'm still wide open at this point. I don't have a leader. I want to check out all the schools and then make a decision."

Comments: He has a visit schedule. He appears to like Notre Dame quite a bit. I have no idea which team might be leading. I don't think he knows that yet, either. We'll have to wait a while before we know his final decision.
