Courtney Grixby has scheduled his official visit to Notre Dame. "I'm going there on next Sunday and Monday (18-19th)," said Grixby. "I had to schedule it that way because of basketball."
Is Grixby excited about his visit to Notre Dame. "Yeah, I'm really excited about it. I'm looking forward to it. It's a big-time school with a big-time coach, and the best education you can get. I'm not worried about nothing going on when I'm there. I know there's more to a school that what you do at night time. I'm interested in checking out the education, the coaches and the atmosphere of the place."
The Irish have made the final cut of three. "I'm down to Nebraska, Notre Dame and Kansas State so I have options."
One option is Nebraska. The Huskers just hired Bill Callahan as their head coach. "He appears to be a good hire but I haven't been in contact with them yet. I've been told that he will be there on Monday to interview the coaches and find out which coaches he's going to keep. After that, he's supposed to go through the recruits and figure out what he's going to do with them. I will probably hear from them then."
Grixby says he has only one in-home visit lined up. "I have Coach Miller coming from Kansas State on Wednesday. They want me to play both wide receiver and corner."
Comments: The Irish appear to be in good shape with Grixby. It would've been nice if he could've come for a visit weekend. That doesn't appear to bother him. Notre Dame has a real shot to land him. The real test will be after he talks to Nebraska.
