Thomas Set for his Irish Visit

Offensive lineman Jamie Thomas is set for his final visit this weekend to Notre Dame. The Irish recently visited Thomas at his home. Do the Irish have a good shot to land Thomas?

Jamie Thomas had a visitor yesterday from Irish offensive line coach, Mike Denbrock. "Coach Denbrock was here today," said Thomas. It went pretty good. He's a real nice guy. He's down to earth. I think he's a good coach I could play for. We'll probably talk more about his playing philosophy when I visit there this weekend."

The Notre Dame visit will be his last. "I've already visited Maryland and Tennessee. Notre Dame will be my last. Those are my top three schools. I plan to decide sometime next week. I think my Coach said something about setting up a press conference on the 22nd."

Thomas seems to have a strong interest in Notre Dame. "I like what I've heard about Notre Dame. A lot of people at my school says Notre Dame is an exacty copy of my school here. Everyone at my school says it's a great school. I'm looking forward to finally going to see the place."

Thomas says his family is also excited about the trip. "They are kind of where I'm at. They want to see Notre Dame. We've heard a lot about it. Both of my parents are coming with me on the visit."

Is there a chance Thomas might commit with a good visit to Notre Dame. "I'd say there's a chance."

Comments: Thomas has shown strong interest in Notre Dame since the beginning. With a good visit, the Irish might get a commitment. We'll know more after the visit. Top Stories
