Jamie Thomas said he enjoyed his visit to Notre Dame. "It was real nice," said Thomas. "I didn't commit, but I liked it. I liked the balance between academics and athletics the best."
Thomas also listed the Irish players as a highlight. "They're a tight-nit group. They love Notre Dame and being there. That was nice to see."
Irish player Ryan Harris was his host. "He's a great guy. I hung out with a bunch of the freshman there, and all the recruits. Everyone got along real well. I felt I fit in real well there."
We asked Thomas to rate his visit on a one to ten scale. "I'd give it a solid nine, but it was close to a 10. The food, the campus, everything was cool about it."
We asked Thomas if Notre Dame was what he thought it would be. "Actually, I thought it was better than I thought it would be. I can see why people fall in love with Notre Dame. I met a bunch of nice people. Everyone was very nice."
When can we expect a decision? "I still plan on announcing at my school on the 22nd. It's between Notre Dame, Maryland and Tennesee." Will he end up choosing Notre Dame? "We'll have to see."
Comments: The Irish coaches told him he was being recruiting to play offensive tackle. He also said he prefers to play tackle. He said he liked everything about Notre Dame. We think the Irish will be tough to beat when he makes his final decision.
