Cortney Grixby said he really enjoyed his official visit to Notre Dame. "I liked it a lot," said Grixby. The biggest thing is the tradition there. The whole school, faculty, coaches, they take part in that."
Grixby wasn't able to make it to Notre Dame early in the weekend to experience the social life at Notre Dame. We asked if that bothered Grixby. "Not at all. I wasn't really into all of that. If anything, it was an advantage because I got to see what life was really like at Notre Dame."
Grixby's family also went with him on the visit. "My Mom and my brother came. They were both very impressed. They liked the education and the tradition there."
Did Grixby get time to spend with the players, and did he feel he fit in well with them? "Yeah, I did. I thought I fit in well. They were all cool, laid-back people."
We asked Grxiby to rate his visit on a 1-10 scale. "It was definitely a 10. They really rolled out the red carpet for us."
Grixby said a decision could be coming shortly. "I have Coach Callahan coming on Tuesday. I have Coach Miles coming on Wednesday. I should know what I want to do after those visits. I'll decide shortly after that."
We asked Cortney if his decision was becoming clearer at this point. "Yeah it is. It's becoming clearer. I'm coming to an idea of what I want to do."
Comments: I really don't know what to think. It appears that Notre Dame did all they could do to impress him. Obviously the in-home with Callahan will be critical. I think the Irish have a good chance to land him in the end.
