Jabbie Enjoys Trip to Notre Dame

Junior Jabbie, the 6'0 185lb defensive back from The Hun School in New Jersey recently tripped to South Bend on an official visit to Notre Dame. Jabbie discusses his trip with Irish Eyes, as well as what he plans to do in the next couple of weeks leading up to signing day.

"I really enjoyed it" said Junior Jabbie of his trip to Notre Dame this past weekend. "My family really enjoyed it too. I was already at Notre Dame before back in November on an unofficial visit so everything was new to them. Joe Brockington was my host. He was a real cool guy. He did a good job showing us around."

Jabbie also got a chance to sit down with Tyrone Willingham to discuss the future. "I talked with Coach Willingham for about an hour. Most of the time it wasn't about football. Just life in general" said Jabbie. "But we did talk about football though" he continued.

What position is Jabbie being recruited for at Notre Dame? "They are recruiting me as a corner back, or athlete" Jabbie said. "Other schools are recruiting me as a running back or athlete." Will that be a problem since Notre Dame is not recruiting him at running back? "No, it won't really be a problem. I just want to play."

When can we expect a decision from Jabbie? "I am going to Penn State this weekend, and hopefully I can make a decision a few days later. Right now, I'm not going to name a leader, or a top three or anything like that. I'm just going to take my last visit, and make a decision."

Comment: Jabbie really likes the Irish, but we won't go as far as to say Notre Dame leads. Jabbie and his family have really been impressed with Coach Willingham, and we feel the Irish have a good chance with Jabbie. Obviously, much more will be known after his visit to Penn State this weekend. Irish Eyes will keep you up to date.
