Christopher Vaughn says he enjoyed his visit to Notre Dame. "I really liked it there," said Vaughn. I really had a good time."
Did ND offer? "They had offered, but I got the official offer today. They asked if I was ready to make my decision, I told them I wanted to wait and think about it."
Vaughn had said he might commit with a good visit. Does this mean his visit wasn't as good as he had hoped? "No, I thought about committing while I was there. I just wanted to think about it for a while and make a decision."
Vaughn is down to four schools right now. "Boston College, Iowa, Notre Dame, and UCLA. I want to try to narrow that list down this week to two schools. I really don't have a leader. I have some in-home visits scheduled. Coach Willingham will be coming this week. UCLA is on Friday. Iowa is on Tuesday. They said they would try to get Coach O'Brien in this week as well."
Does Notre Dame have a shot to make the final two? "Definitely, I think Notre Dame will make the final two. I was really impressed. I loved the tradition there and they told me I was what they were looking for in a wide receiver, a tall, fast guy."
What about his parents? "They favor the small schools like Notre Dame and Boston College. They also like the academics at those schools a little better."
Comments: I can't say for sure, but I think the Irish have a good shot to land Vaughn. I'm not sure which team might be the other team. Still, Vaughn mentioned he wouldn't announce signing day, and the Irish likely can't wait that long.
