New Jersey Corner High On One School

Plainfield, NJ is home to at least three division one prospects this season. One of those prospects is corner James Williams. The 6-0, 180 defensive back has a lot of interest from schools right now, but appears very interested in one school in particular right now.

James Williams plays free safety in high school. "I finished with 5 interceptions, 60 tackles and 11 pass breakups," Williams said.

Williams does not have any offers at this point. "I don't have any offers, but I'm receiving a lot of mail from Rutgers, Notre Dame, Maryland, Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, Oregon and Arizona State."

We asked Williams what his summer plans were. "I plan to attend the Nike Camp this summer. I'll probably take a few unofficial visits to Rutgers as well."

Does Williams have any favorites? "Rutgers is my No. 1 choice. It's not far and it feels like a home away from home." Would he commit on the spot if they offered? "Yes, I probably would. I just feel comfortable there."

Comments: It appears Williams has his mind set on Rutgers at this point. I've heard he is a good prospect and carries a 3.4 g.p.a. It sounds like he'll choose Rutgers as soon as they offer. We'll keep an eye on Williams. Top Stories
