Jones Likes Irish, Loves Pitt

When you're a 6'2 CB prospect, tons of schools will be interested. This is what's happening with Brad Jones, the 6'2 190lb corner from Canton McKinley HS.

"Right now it's Pitt, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Iowa, and Purdue" said Brad Jones. "I'm hearing from other schools, but right now those are the schools I'm interested in the most. Pitt is my favorite school though."

Jones had a pretty productive junior year, even though the stats may not show it. That can be attributed to teams not throwing to his side of the field though. He finished his junior campaign with 42 tackles, and one interception.

How hard is Notre Dame recruiting Jones? "I've heard from Coach Denbrock a few times" said Jones. They haven't offered me, but they like me. Notre Dame is a school I would consider visiting. It's a big time program."

This spring, Jones plans to keep himself busy. "I'm going to Pitt's football camp, and Ohio State's camp. I'm going to go to the Nike Camp at Ohio State too. I'm keeping my options open on maybe taking a few more stops this spring and summer as well. I want to make my decision before my season starts, so I'm going to be pretty busy this spring and summer."

Jones has a 2.8 GPA, and a 16 ACT that he plans on taking again in May.

Comments: This appears to be a Pitt/OSU race. Notre Dame may be able to sneak in, but the 16 ACT may be the reason ND isn't going after him strong. I doubt that would knock Pitt out of the drivers seat anyway. Top Stories
