Massaquoi Getting Tons of Attention

One name you are certain to hear a lot this recruiting season is Mohamed Massaquoi. He is the 6'2 WR from Independence HS in Charlotte NC and after a great junior year, programs from across the nation are showing him attention.

Mohamed Massaquoi racked up 1525 yards on 87 catches for 23 TDs his junior season. Needless to say, many top programs took notice. "I'm hearing from just about every SEC, and ACC team right now" said Massaquoi. Massaquoi has offers from his home state colleges in Duke, North Carolina State, and North Carolina and also has an offer from Tennessee. Massaquoi also informed IrishEyes that he recently picked up an offer from Michigan as well.

Has Notre Dame shown interest in Massaquoi? "They sent me a letter a while back, but that's all" said Massaquoi.

Is he interested in Notre Dame? "I really don't know too much about them. I'd be interested in what they had to say, but since I don't know too much about Notre Dame I can't really say."

What type of factors will he be looking at in trying to determine what school is best for him? "Location, the schools atmosphere, and the coaching staff is what I'll be looking at." Does this mean Massaquoi wants to stay close to home? "When I say location I mean just a nice location with lots of things to do."

Massaquoi has a 4.18 GPA and plans to take the SAT over the summer. As far as his other plans for the summer, Massaquoi isn't sure yet. "I'm not really sure on camps and visits yet. I'll know soon though. I'm not really planning on making a decision anytime soon."

Comments: It doesn't appear that Notre Dame is recruiting Massaquoi very hard just yet. It is still very early in the recruiting process though. IrishEyes will keep you updated.
